Croatia: Wine, Touring Cities, and thoughts on Wine Criticism (ok, too damn long)

No worries Mike, and Hungary has indeed had quite a bit of influence in continental Croatia as a power, however when Austrians/Habsburgers empire was in charge then I don’t think Croatia reported via Hungary.

Maybe worth also keep in mind, the coastal regions were not really empire controlled (except smaller parts). Especially not Dalmatia where Tribidrag and Plavac Mali comes from but I guess the courts and buzz of one of the main powerhouses in Europe attracts people and trade from all over. But interesting how the cuttings traveled to US.

Not TDL

Grk and Croatian wines are really fascinating to me. It doesn’t hurt that I absolutely loved every moment I was there.

I get my grk and Croatian wine fix here in the USA via Croatian Premium Wine - https://www.croatianpremiumwine.com/

No Bire on their list, unfortunately, but the Matusko is pretty unique and delicious.
