Back in the beginning, 2001 to 2008, we were located in Bel Aire Plaza in Napa. Things were changing and a Trader Joe’s moved in along with Whole Foods and World Market, all with wine sections. The wine buyer for TJ’s spent a lot of time in our store asking questions and buying wine. We moved to our current location and he continued to shop with us until he left TJ’s for another job in Southern CA. If the wine buyer of TJ’s is shopping in my store, I wonder why you are buying wine at TJ’s?
I simply stay out of the TJ wine section. They never have anything I vaguely like. Prices are good but good prices for bad wine doesn’t make sense to me. This Cab was recently brought to a party I attended. It was brought by someone who really doesn’t know wine. It was not the worst thing I have ever tasted but seemed pretty fake to me. Like a chemical soup with food coloring added.
