Tonight’s light supper was Crab Claw Salad - seasoned with onion powder, granulated garlic, orange peel, chervil, and tarragon; on a nice ripe avocado - seasoned with the salad dressing for me and lime juice and SI Beau Monde For Carollee. The avocado-stuffed with crab was placed on greens dressed with a Blood Orange Olive Oil and Yuzu Vinegar dressing seasoned with granulated garlic, onion powder, orange peel, chervil, and tarragon. All was very much enjoyed with a rich 1981 Ridge Claret Howell Mountain (68% Zinfandel, 24% Petite Sirah, 8% Carignane) - cork colored a rough inch, color a nice ruby-garnet with a narrow orange edge; good rich dark berry and currant fruit, with adequate acidity, and resolved tannins; with a medium long berry and currant fruit finish.
Then for dessert we each had a Bordeaux Cookie with our after dinner water.
