Costanti, BdM, 2005

Costanti, Brunello di Montalcino, 2005
13.5% Fruity red fruits on the nose, but then becomes more serious on the palate, with rhubarb pie, red plums and white cherry take over. There is some dusty wood on the finish that needs to integrate further, tannins are quiescent…although not a top year, I would try this again in 3-4 years for the flavors and wood to meld together a bit better. Good. B+/A-

Thanks for the note, Markus; I’m not yet familiar with Costanti, but I’ve got the 2006 so we’ll see, but not for several more years.

Thanks for the note.

I’m a Costanti fan and got quite a bit of this on a good deal some time ago. Haven’t had one in a while and guess I’ll wait a little longer still.
