Does anyone have experience with this fairly new producer? Corliss apparently makes excellent wines, both Cabernet and Syrah. Do you have a preference for one over the other?
Many thanks!

David…just saw this thread. This is an “under the radar” fairly new winery as you noted but has had some cult like reviews. They age their wines in the barrel and bottle longer than most. I had their first release of their bordeaux blend last year and it was an exceptionally balanced wine. A friend has tasted their syrah and was equally impressed. The new release is only the 04’ vintage. A premium high quality wine IMO and better than many/most Napa wines in their price range. I’d recommend to get on their list as I did last year.
I just visited there a couple of weeks ago and took a tour of the facility. It is a very fancy operation with a lot of money invested in the wines and high tech winery. I called it the Colgin of Walla Walla. The wines are similar in style too being a ripe and clean while fairly extracted but balanced. Definitely a winery to watch. They are some of the more expensive wines from WW but they are still favorably priced compared to Napa.
+1, we went there in early June. cleanest facility i have ever seen, could operate in there. i have had the 05 or 06 Syrah @ an offline and it is a linebacker-in-your-grill powerful kind of wine that i thought needed real time sideways. i did note the potential for improvement with cellaring. when we were there they poured one wine, a Cab Franc if memory serves. this wine was not memorable.
Thanks all for the info. Great photo Scott!
I mean Glenn.
they have to keep the parking lot open and ungated as it must be an easement for the the small, ramshackle properties right next to Corliss. that is how i rode in there and snapped that lone HD photo on our Sunday morning out of W2.
