That’s for fillets if you’re lucky enough to live in an area (Portland, Seattle) that has a QFC market. You need one of their special cards, but that’s easily enough handled. It was good.
my thought is that normally salmon is about 5.99 or so a lb for wild salmon , i think Copper River is $4lb better than the normal stuff they carry. Undercook that puppy just a little and it is drool worthy.
I’ve had the King version at a local restaurant and it surpasses Sockeye 10x. Unfortunately you can’t get it at Costco and have to overpay at Whole foods at $35lb O_O
Copper River Sockeye is the best there is in the salmon world. The king is good, sockeye otherworldly. I’ve turned many non-salmon eaters into CRS lovers.
Bill you can fly in CRS for less and it would be fresher.
I’ve just never seen salmon at $5.99/lb that looked like anything I’d want to eat. Not sure I’ve seen it at that price in any condition. $9.99 or so seems to be the bottom for farm raised, color added…
did you not read at all what I quoted. We’re talking about Costco here. Costco has Copper River Wild at 9.99 a lb.
Costco has other wild salmon at 5.99 a lb. The quality of the fish is no worse than your local Whole Foods except Costco isn’t gonna rape you from behind thanks to their superb business model.
