All part of the tour of life
My territory
Jægersborggade is a super place with small shops, restaurants, cafés and a great coffee place (coffee collective). Silberbauers Bistro is great for a lunch or dinner. But most importantly there is a fun playground for the kids at the end of the street.
If you are going to Bæst, there is actually a kinda secret place just next to it. 100 meters or so, but you cannot see it if you don’t know it is there. Search for ByOasen on google. Suddenly you will be at a green place where your kid can pet goats and rabbits among other things! Bæst also owns Mirabelle right next to it where you can get a quick great breakfast or lunch.
Not so much about restaurants, but more for the kids, while fun for the parents as well.
I will get back with more suggestions tomorrow
This area looks great, thanks! We’re staying over near the Frederiksberg Garden so Jægersborggade could be a good option for a walk our first day to get our bearings, get some nice food, and check out the playground. The playgrounds in Copenhagen seem exceptionally cool.
This is already so helpful, thanks! Please let me know if there’s a particular wine bar I should check out in the area in the evening. When we travel I often explore the wine scene a bit on my own once our son goes to bed as my wife doesn’t drink.
Cork Vinbar is very close to Frederiksberg Garden. Haven’t been there in a while, but it was good the last time I was.
Mielcke & Hurtigkarl in Frederiksberg Garden is one of the best Restaurants in Copenhagen. But it is probably a too long seating with a kid.
The playgrounds at Fælledparken is also great.
Wonderful, thanks!
Alright, headed to Copenhagen on Saturday. Should be a great trip thanks in significant part to the helpful advice from this thread. Thanks!
@LasseK or any other Copenhagen folks, let me know if you want to meet up to share a bottle one evening next week. Probably 7pm or later, after my son goes to bed.
How many days are you in Copenhagen? I will go on a prolonged easter vacation with the family, so probably unlikely I am home.
We’re there Saturday (Apr 19) to Saturday (Apr 26) and those are the days of our flights so it sounds like we’ll miss you unfortunately. Hope you have a wonderful Easter vacation! Let me know if you happen to travel to Maine and we’ll share a bottle here.
Hi Ryan
Hope you’re having a good time. I’m also here right now, and while I don’t have time to meet, I just went to ‘Ved Stranden 10’ last night and they have a very nice ‘Yoda glasses’ program going right now with some fun bottles poured by coravin. It’s a perfectly great place to sit alone and meditate a bit.
Mads
Perfect, right on the M3. I’ll check it out tonight after my son goes to bed. Thanks for the tip!
Cork Vinbar, which @LasseK recommended, is also doing some fun Coravin stuff by the glass. It’s a 15 minute walk from our airbnb so I’ve already stopped by twice.
