COPAIN O/L In The OC @ Fratello's (Laguna Niguel)--This Wednesday 12/23 @ 6PM.

That is a magnificent tree Sean.

Would love to make this, but we will have to pass. Unable to get out of work, and the drive from Ventura could take the better part of the evening as I am sure the freeways will be parking lots.
Have a great time, and Merry Christmas to all in the OC.

We already have dinner plans but if something changes I’ll let you know.

Plus I need to get over this cold that Todd gave me along with a bunch of half bottles.

Maybe if you didn’t insist on making out with me, and me feeling obligated to comply since I brought all those half bottles, you wouldn’t be sick!

Sorry Frank - but I’m not going to make it. Too much else happening.

Great to talk to you today on the phone Frank. Had no idea about this event and would love to be there. Count me in.

Team Yamada. I can pick you up if you would like. Just let me know.

I have a 2006 Thompson or an 07 Eaglepoint that I can bring. I have some others at my locker if I can get there before Wed.

Just a warning. I am in a hell of a personal funk. So, I will probably be a lot quieter that usual, but, please realize I am quite excited for the chance to see you guys again.

Leslie

Robo, I asked Frenchenstein for the same trade bottle… [rofl.gif] So ‘stein, you going to trade with Winn or me. Which is it? [tease.gif] Actually, Robo is probably better if he is going to let loose of a Brosseau or Garys’–that would add to the 2007s–I could bring 2 bottles on my own to help enlarge the tasting.

Thanks Frank!

It looks like it will only be Carlin & I, but we still want to trade-in the extra 2000 Eaglepoint Ranch with you … to supplement the multiple bottles you’re providing.

In. Probably the 05 Eaglepoint Ranch Syrah. Will keep you posted.

Not sure who was the worse offender between Dietz bringing a Mexican wine and an old and dead Cab or Frenchie bringing leftovers of dead wines I was able to taste the night before. With friends like these, who needs a cellar?

I don’t care with whom I trade - I’ll just bring the R-M cab and expect some 2-bottle action.

it’s good you’ll drink half of the RM cab the night before, it needs a good decant anyways. neener

Dah.

Looks like we have a cool small group for Wednesday (tomorrow)–excellent.

With the group size, I don’t want to bring a duplicate bottle.

Rob, what bottle(s) are you bringing?

Les, did you decide on your bottle?

I can bring either or both. Might try to hit my locker later today as well.

Leslie

I can bring an 07 Brosseau and something else for you Frenchie Boy.

I thought I was trading with FMIII - I’m trading for a red and white, I think, for the RM cab, because of the ‘price differential’ or whatever he called it. You ladies work it out - I can’t being any half open bottles to this one because I don’t have any Copain to open, and it’s a Copain-only event! How will I ever fit in??

Since when has that stopped you? [training.gif]

French Laundry, we will be having Mr Winn handle the trade: a 2005 JB Roussanne and a 2006 Alder Springs Spirit Rock. Don’t trip out. Rob will be bringing the 2006 Wentzell pinot.

I think Leslie is bringing a 2006 Thomson and 2006 Hawks Butte.

I am getting ready to open and decant 3 bottles–2007 Thompson, 2007 Hawks Butte and 2007 James Berry.

Bring your palates.

Your voicemail was hilarious, man…see you soon.

(do the '05 and '06 count in the ‘new vintages’ in the ‘new style’?)

Todd, the style change was 2006 so pre that vintage, call it old style.

BTW, I have all my bottles decanting. The alcohol on the Hawks Butte is listed at 13.4%. [winner.gif]
