Cook's Illustrated and America's Test Kitchen overlap?

I have started buying the Cook’s Illustrated Annuals. Always been a fan, but never got a subscription, just the odd issue. I have also been getting the America;s Test Kitchen Yearbook. Am I imagining the overlap possibly a year displaced? Which should I actually stick with and which skip? I know they are the same publisher, but help!

They do overlap to some extent, but I don’t know exactly how much. I have the online subscription that is searchable and goes back to day one for Cooks Illustrated.

I’ve wondered about the overlap also? I don’t have a good answer. I have the online sub and love it, never bought any of the books.
