I have both 2022 and the 2023 vintage of Jasud and Im considering trading a bottle for Macdonald since I wont ever get on that list apparently. Is this even a fair trade? Opinions? Interest? How do auction or secondary prices compare? Just a note this is not for Own rooted just regular jasud
It’s a fair trade if someone is willing to trade it! Secondary market prices aren’t far off. But I’d imagine the challenge will be that you’ll find a lot of McD list people got on the Beta list early as well. Or they are only still on the McD list to flip.
Maybe wait? ~ 150 cases of 2022 Jasud and 200 cases of 2023. If memory serves. There will be much more 2025.
I have been wanting to trade for a bottle of Jasud but I have no MacDonald. If you are interested in anything else shoot me a message and I’ll let you know what I have of a comparable value!
Im not really looking to get rid of my jasud, its just the bottles I have that could be worth considering for a Mcdonald trade. It seems a fair trade would be around 2:1 so ill have to consider that not really excited about having just singles of the jasud
2:1 Jasud? Don’t know about that. It just hammered at $550. Macdonald hammers at maybe $650 depending on vintage?
Well id be willing to do a jasud plus 100
Seems to me Jasud is more of an unkown value at this point but a bit less available than MacDonald. Big fan of Macdonald haven’t tried Jasud yet.
Not even in the same universe but good luck.
They’re also very different wines.
If someone told me they loved McD, Jasud is not the next wine I would recommend to them.
If I was anywhere close to Ft. Lauderdale, I’d consider this trade. Or at minimum you’d open a Jasud and I’d open a MacDonald.
I’m an outlier. MacDonald is another extracted, polished Napa Cab. Jasud is not. I prefer Jasud.
Well I enjoy Burgundy as well as Cornas. Very different wines. I also like Macdonald and Jasud so.
Adam I have some we can pop next time I see you.
