I knew this would be too young yet I need to make some room in my wine fridge. For my tastes, I think its five years from a good drinking window. Tim Kirk once told me to enjoy some of the wines young but I don’t think this wine young is for me.
Creamy fresh berries and the separately discernible oak notes integrate quickly with aeration. The fruit is powerful, loaded up on the palate with blackberry fruit flavors in a silky-smooth texture. The medium bodied frame is perfectly weighted with concentrated fruit of considerable power. Fine tannins complete. Should round off nicely in time.
