Tonight, after a short trip to Albuquerque for some dental work for me and to replace a part on Carollee’s Jaguar XK8, we had a simple supper of clam chowder with a nice Pouilly-Fuissé, a 2002 Roger Lasserat ‘Les Mugerets’ - medium yellow-gold in color; bright nose & flavors of minerally pears and green apples; rich fruit mid-palate with adequate acidity; with a medium long rich fruit finish. The wine was good with the rich, creamy, buttery chowder as well as by itself with the last glass after dinner.
We were too full after a couple bowls of the chowder to have dessert, so we just enjoyed the end of the bottle while watching NCIS Los Angeles (via TiVo).
