We had a similar conversation a few months ago.

You do what is best for your business.

I can no longer show my customers a Jay Miller review. It is meaningless to me.

Of course, my Aussie and Spanish sales will get worse, but they were already getting worse, so no big deal.

I am hopeful that more ITBers will be more proactive in this stance. Spain is full of terrific wines. It is a shame that the market for good value $35 wines like Finca Sandoval are drying up because of problems like Sierra Carche. The wines cannot be trusted, and the critic cannot be trusted.

Heck, look at the latest Eric Solomon problem on the Parker board. Domaine de la Garrique Cotes du Rhone 2007s are turning into shit.

This depends on the audience that you are attracting. Read the “complaints” on Gary’s cinderella site about offering the conterno wine. He needs to appeal to the masses.

The conterno was a bargain, I mean bargain. and people complain that it is a $100 wine.
