Between the Champagne and Vega Sicilia tastings this morning and afternoon and since the wine dinner isn’t until 19:30, we decided to visit Masa at his ‘new’ sushi bar, just down the street from the hotel where the tastings are held. There were two seats available at his sushi bar, so we sat and ordered sake and water, while we decided what to eat. They were out of the Mu sake, so we had a small bottle of Hatsumago Jun-Mai-Shu sake and than after talking briefly with Masa, each of us had a custom Chirashi sushi - uni, salmon, tuna, mackeral, buri, shrimp and a green chile-wasabi mix with soy sauce. It was very nice, we’ll definitely go back.
