Agree—if you’re just asking how to find an alternate babysitter, Care.com is probably fine for this purpose. Otherwise I’d say the hilly running route is your best bet!

Just asking what others do when traveling to Napa with kids if attending vineyards not allowing kids.

I’m sure others had similar situation and was asking for suggestions. I just could not find something like a day camp to drop off kids. Was wondering if others had one in mind.

We’ve used Four Seasons program for kids while we go to wineries. This time, I was hoping to make a day trip for this wine tasting event and then go to dinner with kids before heading back to San Francisco. Our baby sitter had change in plan.

We’ve used care.com to watch them at home but was hoping to take them to dinner in Napa.

I always brought my kids (I guess to places that don’t prohibit them), but of course that was just for a friendly visit or two, not a full day of tastings or going to some long curated visit.

I think either something recommended by your hotel or one of those big websites are probably your best bet.

All joking aside, I’ve seen a lot of gyms that have kids programs during the day in the summer. I’ve had luck between that and other summer camps with a daily fee. Have no clue about Napa though.

I share your same issue. In fact we canceled our Napa trip this year because we couldn’t get child care. Some people don’t have family they can just drop kids off with.

I would look at the Bambino app. You can find reviewed sitters anywhere. Post the job and then you can send the job to sitters in the area.

Not sure if they’re too young to drop off at one of the nearby reservoirs or Napa river if they like fishing. A bit spendier would be to get them a fishing guide at Putah Creek who will teach them to fly fish and provide equipment (there are some trophy size trout in that creek) .

My wife is ok if I go with my buddy.

Staying over night at hotel was getting really expensive to the point that I rather buy couple good wines and do bbq at home

Couple more years …. Then they can house sit themselves
