Anyone in Chicago interested in getting together for some wine drinking the evening of Sept 19th?
A pal and I will be in driving in from Detroit to drop off some wine at Edward Roberts on the 19th and attending the auction the next morning. In between, we were planning to do some winestore visits, and BYOB at Smoque for dinner on the 19th, but plans are flexible.
As of right now, we haven’t booked hotel rooms, and to be honest, we would probably rather stay away from downtown rates, so anything in the burbs is doable.
Any Berserkers thirsty and open on the 19th?
(Even if you can’t get together, I would still appreciate recos for mid-priced hotels that would be around Smoque, and close to the highway to get downtown for the auction on Sunday morning. I really don’t know Chicago well at all, so any help would be great.)
