Michael Mooney owner with his wife Margene, stopped by the other day to get some cigars. He introduced himself and mentioned his wines, which I hadn’t heard of. Anybody familiar with the wines??
I haven’t tried them lately, but a few of us visited back in 2004 and Eric Anderson has a write-up at Central Coast - August '04

I’ve heard of 'em, but have never been by to taste or purchase, which is something I’ve been wanting to do. I’ve seen 'em appear, occassionally, on an upscale wine list, and that’s certainly the market sector they are going after with their prices (which is, largely, the reason I have yet to stop-by their tasting room). From what I’ve heard, they’re good, but with their basic Cab selling for about $50, and their premium Cab selling for upwards of $100, that’s a tough sell.
Way way way overpriced. The wines are nice, but they have at least one over $100. Crazy. Paso is not known for its Cabs for a reason. Sure, there are some doing nice Cabs, but not >$100 worth.
