Opened up yesterday a magnum of 2002 Michel Loriot. I thought it was a great Champagne.

Which 02 Loriot was it? The Vieilles Vignes Pinot Meunier?

Brad, I don’t see any special identifications, just a dark label. It was very nice Champagne.

I think it’s implicit in “I bet you never heard of it” that what you really mean is that “I bet none of you besides Brad Baker has ever heard of it.” It’s just shorter not to have to write that all out.

I actually like it a little better than the top of the line Vieilles Vignes Pinot Meunier from 2002 that I mentioned. Has a little more vibrancy and finesse though I think the Vieilles Vignes Meunier is probably liked more by many others.
