CellarTracker Suggestion Thread

Thanks to all three of you. I wasn’t aware of that functionality, and if I changed it myself it must have been 10 years ago. Changing back now.

Love CT. Best software of any kind ever.

This isn’t said often enough, including by me.

Does this also exclude those scores from the average score one sees? (I think not, but confirming)

Not it does not.

Thank you.

Thanks, very kind

Have been using CT for 16 years and just learning I can change that setting (if I changed it, must have been like day 1 messing around, because it’s always been that way). Thanks for showing!

And I will echo how great CT is!

Request: find a more modern printing option.

I have become a huge fan of the qr/barcodes for bins and wine labels. The Dymo printer is buggy for me, and critically does not work with iOS.

Bugs: i only print every few months (I wait until i have at least 50). In that time, there are inevitably driver updates and making those changes always seems to cause problems. I probably average 30 minutes of setup/unplug/restart/print error/repeat every time.

My second issue, related to lack of iOS support:I don’t think I will have a functional laptop in a few months and use my iPad/phone 100% of the time. I keep my old laptop only for Dymo use. Unless I’m printing labels, it sits in a box. Once that laptop breaks, I’ll either have to stop using labels, learn to use Avery ones, or buy a new laptop just for this purpose. I don’t know thermal printers well, but I know Rollo has one that connects to iOS via AirPrint. I would rather buy that for $200 than a new laptop

I have four machines with DYMO Software. One Mac and three PC’s. I maybe update the DYMO software every 18 months. It just works. A tip. DO NOT ACCEPT AUTO-UPDATE from DYMO.

Does it work with DYMO Connect on Mac? I have been sticking with the older DYMO Label software, and honestly it has worked fine so I may just leave it (if it ain’t broke…), but I’m curious if I can safely switch to the newer stuff.

do you have any dymo that connects to the mobile app? or is that something to come? would be great.

The problem I’ve found is that various Mac OS updates don’t play nice with Dymo and Safari, requiring reboots and reinstalls . . . more than once every 18 months.

That said, once it’s working it does work well.

I added DYMO Connect support over 3 years ago. But if you have a working DLS installation just leave it be…

Enjoyed your Doug Shafer podcast. Cheers.

Awesome, glad you enjoyed.

I am embarrassed to say that I have not starting using CT sooner. No excuse on my part other than laziness and resistance to switching off the my homegrown application. I am very impressed by the application and the support, Kudos!
I have a question but not sure if I can articulate it well. I am using the desltop version. I would like to change the layout when I am viewing wines in my cellar. I would like to be able to do things like remove columns like barcode (and others). I would also like to reorder (not sort) the columns. Is this possible? Not a big deal.
