Have you had the 2014?
Scott Watkins:Really no Vietti Perbacco or Senejac listed?

Whoops I guess reading is fundamental
EHeffner:
Produttori Barbaresco (2014) is $33 by me. Maybe I’ll give it a whirl
Just FYI I think these really need some time in bottle to show their stuff. Even the entry level “Langhe” bottling improves significantly with a few years.
Not too familiar with this type of wine but I keep hearing it needs to age out, which is why I’m surprised it’s being listed here

Yes, but it’s a great cellar defender at under $30, which is what the OP wanted. It just needs a bit of time. The Bordeaux listed here are much the same.
Yves Cuilleron - Syrah
Donnhoff - Oberhauser Leistenberg Kabinett Riesling
Lopez de Heredia - “Gravonia” blanco
Chateau Senejac
Raffault - “Picasses” Chinon
Cantemerle
For the most part, those are not vintage-specific, although I’d probably pass on the Senejac, Cantemerle, and Picasses in weak years.

Buy enough so you can try them young too. FWIW, I don’t mind a little tannin.
2016 Gulfi Rossojbleo Nero d’Avola @ $16. Excellent vintage for this wine.

If you like Nebbiolo, it is a very nice wine for the price.
I took down a 6 pack. I hadnt tasted since the 05 vintage, which I liked.
Recent purchase of a case. Old and cheap, but tastes young and rich.

it also is still a really solid wine young if it gets some air time.

Checkmate.
I’m obviously in the lower class around here… This category (“cellar defender”) has to be the toughest of them all - I have not had a lot of luck in the $10-$35 range, so when I found something that worked for me, I stuck with it - 14 Hands Cab (Washington) which is available for $7-$10 per bottle all the time locally. This wine is very consistent from year to year and it has a savory side to it that I really like. Their Chard is not bad either based on blind tastings with my clan. Cheers!
2012 Cascina Adelaide Barolo
Costco had these for $25. Somehow lucked into a case on markdown for $10. Popped one, and was surprised it was pretty tasty for what I consider a youngster. Definitely would be worthwhile at the normal Costco price.

I don’t see that offer online. I do see spend $100, get $10 off, spend $200, get $40 off. Is that deal specific to your region? Did you see it online?

Thank you. Visit NYC soon. We can skewer and roast something good, to pair with them.
Brian King:Ar Pe Pe Rosso when you can find it in the $25 range
I’d be all over it if I could get it for that price. Usually it’s around $35. Where can you find it for $25?
It was available locally for that price (in NC), although I think it may have been a distributor closeout. If I recall correctly it was ~ 20 Euro at the winery too

Wait a minute … so TW (always?) Offers 20% off if you spend $200+? Certainly there must be restrictions/exclusions, no?
