Oh that is interesting. I think my first guess was going to be around that, but then I looked more closely and redid my math and I think guessed 4200, or somewhere around there. So I was way off! Congrats again. Let us know how it is when you crack it open! And of course if you need help finishing it…
Yeah. My guess was close to double that. A bit more than Ron’s though I dont recall the exact. Oh well. I had a friend guess 16,000 though so don’t feel too bad.
Congrats Mike! Look forward to your note.
Not shipping til Nov. we might all have one then.Look for an email in June
Surprise Surprise. Magnum arrived today, beautiful packaging and cool wooden case.Sorry,I won’t be popping this one anytime soon.A nice inscription from Christophe, though I need a translator
Um, I can read French… though I need to see the original, in person – and I think the bottle needs to be open to provide an accurate translation. I am just saying. With all of my expertise, you should defer to me.
John, I just pulled out my notes from the Cayuse tasting and I have to say the Impulsivo was tasting young but delicious, with lots of body, more so then most Tempranillos I have tasted. They were tasting the 2017 though and not the 2016. My favourite of the Syrah’s was the 17 Cailloux. I am not sure but I think the 17 En Cerise was done with a natural ferment, which I’m still not a fan of, especially on a young wine. The 17 Bionic Frog was beautiful and I won’t be getting some for a few years. If the reputation of Cayuse is based on his Syrahs I can understand the ‘cult’ like status. The food was great, the atmosphere energetic and I’m looking forward to next year. To my thinking, Walla Walla is one of the best wine tourism areas in North America. Cheers!
