Cape Cod eats and drinks please

pb boulengierie was pretty good. their pastries and breads are, however, epic.

all that said, to be fair to the cape - which we absolutely loved - living in NYC and eating out fairly often changes your expectations. the best meals we had were grilled at home over live fire or fried clams at Mac’s, etc.

Bubala’s in ptown.

Also Spiritus Pizza in ptown and hyannis. http://www.spirituspizza.com/spiritus/pages/menus.html

Glad to hear PB was good. I have heard very good things about it but still haven’t made my way into the place (though I drive by it plenty). I’ll make an effort in October at the Oyster Festival.

True, too, on the expectations for eating on the Cape. There are plenty of decent places, but none would really compete with most good/great places in NYC. As long as you go for the local specialties in unique places, then your chances of having a memorable meal will improve.

Time ocean house in dennis port and macs shack in wellfleet are my personal favorites.
