Embarrassed because the producers of the above wine are my neighbors, and I have not made the time to go and meet them, nor to taste their wines. They make a well-regarded Barbera d’ Alba. Has anybody tasted the Barbaresco above, and if so, what vintage(s), and what did you think? With the new Albesani nomenclature in these parts, as well as Bruno being out of the Santo Stefano game, there is a lot of great-to-legendary fruit and folks not previously household names, like Renato Vacca of Cantina del Pino, making wines from it. It seems like his Albesani does not suck at all…
