Cam X Wine Company

Well, I’m sure they don’t receive the wine in 3,6, or 12 packs so the bottles get handled anyway. Plus, they are already charging a premium on the less-than-a-case purchase. And it’s not like asking for free storage since they will all ship at the same time as soon as weather allows.

I emailed support. Let’s see how it plays out

edit: here’s the reply

Hi Bob,

I totally get why that feels wasteful.

Our shipping is a flat $19 per case of 12 bottles, or any increment of 12. So the standard shipping structure is:

  • 1 to 12 bottles: $19
  • 13 to 24 bottles: $38
  • 25 to 36 bottles: $57

We currently ship within the continental US via UPS Ground.

I do not have information confirming that we can set a default preference to only ship full cases or automatically combine 3-packs and 6-packs that way on the website.

Thanks for reaching out, and cheers.

I had a 6 pak order w/shipping. Another lot came along that I wanted a 6 pak. Placed order then asked they could combine into a single case shipment. They did but it was not a simple process in that both original orders had to be canceled and a single new order placed. Given that it was a very manual effort for them, doing it for 4 separate orders might be an overreach.

I see how you feel slighted…this was an AI response. I think knowing how Cam has responded to others they will find a way to make it right since you are complaining. Nevertheless, you were never told along the way that your orders would be combined into a single case, you generated that idea in your own mind. Winespies tells you how it works with them, that’s not how it works for deNegoce or any other bulk wine seller. Sorry.

You don’t have to be sorry. It’s just the waste of cardboard that bugs me most

No

I regularly combine 3 packs from3 orders etc. You can email customer service and they’ll take care of you.

My first case purchase from CamX in two months - this seems a no brainer.

Youre not welcome to my drinking parties if you bring this swill.

Wow, that is insane. Snoozed and losed for me. And if it’s true, there’s no way we will be seeing Washington rhone varietals anytime soon if these things sell like that.

T1, sold out….but:
I’ve only got 250 cases I am willing to let go at this price so jump accordingly.
T2 @ $199 or $249??

I feel like that was way too fast for 250 cases….dont think 100-150 cases sell out in less than a few days. I’m betting all 250 weren’t all opened up for sale yet at T1 yet….but I could certainly be wrong

@Cameron_Hughes Just got your latest email…is the 2nd bottling of Lot 25 the exact same juice as the 1st bottling? Or is the wine/blend different in some way? Also, when I just went to the bottle shop Lot 25 is not listed…is it sold out?

I’m pretty sure he previously said it was exactly the same.

But how come I don’t see that one in the bottle shop?

Feasible, I’m sure Cam’s book is growing and there a few multiple case purchasers out there based on upthread comments. I double dipped within minutes of the email, curious if Scott got in on the action, didn’t see any comment from him yesterday unless I missed it.

Scott buying a Cabernet is an easy yes.

Yep! Only one X 93 though. Glad to get one.
X 93 is my 92nd case of X, so far…
So I need to pace myself, there’s more to come! :face_blowing_a_kiss: :wine_glass:

Glad I got in on lot 93. It’s only my 4th Cam X purchase after lots 4, 32, and 83. Have only tried lot 4 and was quite pleased.

I have to fill up that new wine fridge I bought last month!
