Lot 38 still available so bought 6 and a 6 of lot 68.
Lot 38 lists retail at $75 which to me makes Caldwell the clear match.

Seemingly insatiable, (77 X cases, so far), my delusional thinking was triggered by:
“a finished bottling blend comprised of 80% Coombsville and 20% Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon that sees ~75% new French oak and built for a $200+ price point.”

I’m really trying to keep it to back up the sedan quantities. My wife had 20 ladies over for brunch yesterday and despite a no present request and a standing “never bring wine to my house (unless it’s expensive)” rule. We had 1 more bottle of unopened rose at the end of the day then we did yesterday. On a positive note, I realized I have a crawl space under the house that’s sealed and insulated, that should hold 100 cases pretty comfortably. The crawl space I knew about gets really hot since the cooling unit for the wine room and half the house are in there so it’s unusable for wine. Hopefully when I check in July it’s relatively cool.

Lot 69 is live, Dry Creek Zin which I would normally be an insta-buy, but 15.8% is just too much for me.

I missed that but would have bought it anyway. If this is half as good as lot 44 Zin it will be well worth it, and it won’t ship until the fall.
ChatGPT has this as Mazzocco Maple Reserve, seems to line up pretty well, and shows “sold out” on their website. (edit: 2023 shows sold out)

Here is why I don’t think Mazzocco. They are part of the Wilson Family of wineries and is well enough known that Cam surely would have heard of them.
For the record I really do like their Maple Reserve Zinfandel.

Price doesn’t seem to line up, I see Mounts at $45
If I understand Cam correctly, he bought up the entire production. So there wouldn’t be a 2024 from that winery.

That is the challenge. Anything you will find using Google search and/or AI will be big enough that Cam would have heard about them. Cam doesn’t list the number of cases but even if he bought everything, it won’t be more than a couple hundred cases. I’m guessing to show up on AI, you will need to produce ten times as much, at a minimum, because otherwise no one writes about you. This might be another tech bro project
