Cam X Wine Company

I’m currently enjoying a glass of Lot 18 (PN) and tried to order some more but it’s sold out on the website. No Cam X at my local Costco.

I think lot 18 was sold to Costco almost immediately. A Costco buyer liked it and bought the whole lot.

I would have left with multiple cases of each. There are deals…and then there are DEALS.

This was Warehouse 29. They also had Lot 18 plus Lot 30 in pallet ie not fully on display on the sales floor yet.

7.99 for a good pinot is ridiculous…

my first thought also went there but their wines are generally $65. I’m not sure about 20 month oak regimen. That seems pretty unusual. They have worked with that vineyard but only the Chard. Not saying not possible, just thoughts. There’s a couple smaller obscure brands working with that vineyard that should be considered.

I like the Anaba guess…everything lines up perfectly including the price of $74, exact oak regimen (at least on the 2021 which they have listed on their site). Would have to look into the mid-90s scores.

2021 Pinot Noir, Soberanes Vineyard

92 Points - Wine Advocate

One of California’s most sought-after sites, the Soberanes Vineyard is the only vineyard we work with outside of the Sonoma wine country. Juicy cherry, red berry and strawberry scents jump from the glass, layered with light clove and black tea. The high-toned, bright red fruits palate has a core of oak and spice. The finish is smooth and silky with the acid carrying all the way through. One taste and you’ll know why we love it!

Tim - but the Cam email states "The vineyard itself (which is not the source of the wine) . . . ", so ???

I think what Cam is saying is that the vineyard owners’ wineries are not the source of the wine – those wineries are the ROAR and Lucia wineries (Franscioni and Pisoni families, respectively).

Also, just fwiw, Cam misspells the vineyard, it’s Soberanes, not Soberones.

Maybe Cam was not a Soberone when he wrote that

Stephan,
I read it to mean the family/owners are NOT the source. and the email stated Soberanes vineyard.
