Agreed. I already have 2 cases of dry creek zin getting ready to ship, I’ll sit this one out.
I have not researched this one yet, but would this match up with any of the Wilson Family Zins? Perhaps Rockpile vineyards?
Just dropping by to mention that a certain suspected source of Lot 20, Vaughn Duffy just released a “Secret Hill” AKA Cameron’s Vineyard bottling at 55% new french oak (Lot 20: 60%). Product - Vaughn Duffy Wines
Their ueberroth, our original guess is at 33%.
I just don’t see a lot of tech sheets on these Rockpile wines. That said, I like the Mauritson guess earlier. Wilson I think tends do blow them out up to 16%, no?
Also see a wine called BACA Cat’s Cradle out there that is the right ABV, the right oak, and has some PS from in there. The quirk here, of all quirks, is the 3% syrah in this bottle likely is coming from the Dry Creek AVA. It could be a new addition to the wine or the crux of the problem.
That is the problem that I ran into when researching yesterday, lack of info. Most Wilson Zin’s are 15.4-15.9% (I have a bunch), but rarely over 16%. So 15.3% is not that far off.
I love Zin from Rockpile and am glad that I snagged a case yesterday as it appears to be sold out!
Sold out till more released!
Think it states 100 cases in first phase? Seems hard to believe 100 cases already sold out though…
Either way, sold out at the best price!
Looks like the picture I took didn’t save but there was still some CamX Lot 30 Sonoma Coast Chard at the Mountain View Costco. Either 6.99 or 7.99 a bottle I can’t remember. Only about 5 or 6 cases left
Cam mentioned possibly coming to Sacramento area Costcos. I’d love to see that happen.
yep, 3 wines are headed to Roseville for a roadshow 2/13-2/15…product scheduled to arrive on the 10th or 11th I believe but best to call ahead :-)…I’ll probably make a trip out one of the days but mostly have my team in-store for the dates.
Both Roseville locations?
the one off the Parkway on Highland Park drive. Clovis and Folsom should receive product the following week around the 16th
Any wine coming to the outer bay area - Fairfield or Vacaville?
Folsom! Excellent news!
Just placed my first order. One case of lot 44, and a handful of wines from lots 20, 26, 32, and 25. Pumped!
Welcome to the cult! ![]()
I’m a big fan of Lot 25 Calistoga, and have come around to really liking Lot 32 Stags Leap.
Thanks! And ok, great! I’m actually taking my first ever trip to Napa in a couple of weeks. I wonder which wineries some of these are coming from ![]()
How much was the lot 12 Cab?
$14.99 for lot 12
