Grateful for the heads up from posters here.

Something went awry here. I got the notice, but I know quite a few frequent buyers and FMs that didn’t get the notice.

Yeah, it looks like about 50 people got cut out for some reason, we are investigating….thanks and Happy New Year!

Could it be your privacy policy causing some filters to flag your site and potentially emails?

I don’t want to be that guy but it really needs an update. Because it’s copied from another site, filters are going to think you are a scam site.

I had a South African old vine Colombard recently that actually wasn’t bad at all…

Well, the email snafu delivery issue seemingly may be back in order this evening with my receiving two notices for Lot 52 Gamay Noir around 8:00 pm. Thank you Cam-X support for looking into this for several of your patrons.

THANK YOU, CAM X SUPPORT, FOR SENDING THE LOT 52 OFFER!
Much appreciated.

The only problem with them is a I had bottle in the tasting room that was flawed yet I still bought 2 bottles of gamay from them and the first was flawed as well and haven’t opened the second yet. I won’t be buying anymore from them in the future with that track record for wines I’ve tried from them.

I only bought bubbles from them, their stills were a notch down from their bubbles offerings. Used to be decently priced esp for the magnums but I can’t no longer justify recent price increase.

Try Samuel Louis Smith Gamay from SLH/ Escolle Vineyard. You will not be disappointed. In addition to being a great winemaker, Sam does the art for each of his wine labels.

Hey Larry,
Jeff Pisoni (Mark’s younger brother) makes the wines in the north coast. Mark does all the farming. Great family to work with.

Care to share what the flaws were?

The nose on the wine was fine but there was a bit of a barnyard like flavor I guess I could describe it as when tasting it. After I asked if they could taste the wine to confirm if this is what it was supposed to taste like they opened a second bottle at the tasting room and while an extremely similar nose, the flavor was completely different with none of that barnyard funk we were getting from the other bottle. I really enjoyed it which is why I bought some to take home.

The one I opened at home had the same funk to it as that first bottle in the tasting room.

Hmmmm, been around wineries long enough to know what that is…

So Caraccioli has a brett infestation now?

And this is where things go off the rails for many. Is it possible to objectively describe ‘but of barnyard’ further? Are we talking leather, earthy, horsecrap, molasses?

And depending upon the variety, a bit of this may be preferred by many.

Cheers
