Upon some recommendations from members of the “other” board, I turned on my wine group to Josh Ivey for some harder to find wines. I can say that each transaction was anything but smooth. Now one of the guys is in a tough spot as Josh continues to miss his shipping dates and does not return calls or emails. This particular purchase is over $3k so I’m REALLY worried that my friend is about to get burned. Does anyone here have a personal relationship with Josh that can talk some sense into him? I’m embarrassed to say the least for even recommending this guy. And since Josh is acting as a retailer of wines, I thought WT to be the appropriate place to post this. Thanks all for any help you can provide.

He frequents the eBob board (on Commerce Corner) and also sends out email blasts selling hard-to-find wines. Definitely have the right name. I believe he’s a broker. Trust me when I say, if he ends up making this right, I will post letting everyone know.

I know and like Josh from our former Phoenix OL group, but I never bought wine from him and can’t vouche for him other than liking him personally.
I can only suggest that you continue to directly write to him. Times are shitty and sometime people act out of character when they are sinking in quicksand. He is a good guy, so hopefully he will come through. Sorry. That is the best I have to offer in such a publicly pointed thread about a non-member here.
