Burgundy Stems

Zalto burgundy for me

Have you had the time to review and make an opinion of the Sensory for Nebbiolos? Highly interested in purchasing this glass to my to-go red wine glass (drink a lot of Pinot and Nebbiolo) beside the Gabriel. Would highly appreciate your insights.

I’d be super interested to hear how it compares to the Josephine No. 3. I have their full set and sometimes wonder if I’m missing “middle ground” between No. 2 and No. 3.

Classic Berserker

Johannes,

Most of my Nebbiolo is too young to touch though I was too curious and did try it with some young 2017 and 2018 Produtorri Barbaresco which were both decanted for about 2 hours prior to the tasting. For me the Sensory glass brought out the best aromatics of the Barbaresco by far. The wine felt muted and closed in the Zalto Universal and though better, still not as expressive in the Riedel Vinum Extreme Pinot. The Riedel Vinum Extreme Cabernet had the second best noise, but the balance was off with the tannins in particular feeling much more astringent than with the Sensory.

Ultimately, I think these glasses were specifically made for Nebbiolo so you will likely be very pleased.

Catching up on this thread (I know, 14 months of catch up), and an oxymoron smacked me upside the head.

My BDX stems are pristine and never broken one yet! They get a solid 2x use per year…

paging @Keith_Levenberg but this probably needs those photosensitivity warnings shows with strobe lights have.

Need a better photo

The one on the far left looks like a Riedel somm series red burg glass. The one next to it looks like a Zalto burg glass.
