Burgundy 2015: more challenging harvest for the whites

Speaking with vintners after the harvest, it seems fairly clear that it was a success for reds, even if low volumes won’t likely lead to friendlier prices…

But the harvest was more complicated for whites. In this video (Burgundy 2015: harvest more complicated for whites, with Anne Parent - YouTube), wine pal and Burgundy expert Greg Love asks winemaker Anne Parent about acidity levels and she replies that they were not as good for the whites as they were for the reds.

I got a similar story from Alex Gambal.

It is far too early to make clear judgments about the wines, bien sûr, but certainly important to understand nuances to the harvest that influence how the wines will taste.
