As a footnote, this is the first weekend I’ve had of opening many wines without a single corked or premox’d bottle. The cork gods got me last night however, ruining a humble 96 Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne.

John, the curry leaf comes from the curry tree and is a spicy and aromatic herb used in many Indian and Sri Lankan curries.

Alan,we had a cleansing ale, Kent forgot about the cleansing 04 Sauzet Batard we had before the cleansing 00 Rousseau Chambertin. Kent then went off to bed and Paul Hanna and I and another mate needed a cleansing 07 Rousseau Cazetiers before calling it a night.

Absolute stunner Mike, wish I had more.

After all that I would have had to sleep in my bed with one foot out on the floor–to prevent the “whirlybeds.” Of course, that wouldn’t help if I got the whirlyrooms . . .

Andre Clouet Rose Champagne: Lovely Rose Champagne with real depth and persistence. It is crammed full of sweet red berries and has a nice meaty edge. It is rich and creamy with a dry, precise finish.

Bought some of this the other day, but I had to do a search to make sure it was the same Champagne as my memory failed me a bit…really looking forward to trying one again, a superb Rose…might have to crack one for Christmas lunch, as I reckon this would be right in the zone…
