Tasted this weekend:
Sarachi Ace - delicious lees aged Pilsner beer that uses a hop that gives it an Asian, lemongrass nuance to the taste. Really delicious. Sold in 750s.
Buzz Bomb Ale - A honey based, Belgian style ale made with Tremblay Farms honey. Part of the Brewer’s reserve program. Spicy, floral, crisp, dry…Yummy!
Technically, they’re calling the Sarachi Ace’s base beer a Saison. But it does hit very Pilsner-y with the hop crispness, and the lower abv of @7.5 doesn’t make you think Belgian origins as much.
Sounds good to me!
Picked one up of the Sarachi Ace’s last week, & need to crack it.
Also have the Co-Brewed Brooklyn/Schneider Hoppe-Weissen.
The Schneider version is Rockin’ & Great.
IIRC, the Brooklyn version is 1% (or more) higher ABV.
CHEERS! & PROST!
