Not knowing how long or how many contracts are out there…I would assume they would just let them expire or buy them out. Also depends on what they want to do with the vineyard…and can they sell it (the wines) if they made all of the fruit into wine?

Hi all, I’m thrilled to say the rumors are true. I’ve worked with Savoy fruit since we started Breggo in 2005. It’s a truly special place. Don’t worry, we’re not about to buy out or end any of our fellow producers contracts. We make between 400 and 500 cases of Savoy Pinot Noir each year. While we might increase that a little bit as time goes on, Savoy fruit is too special to not vineyard designate. I look forward to working with the other great producers of Savoy – Littorai, Radio Coteau, Barnett, Roessler, Benovia, and Kutch – to make sure they continue to get the fantastic Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that Rich Savoy has always grown for them.
Now that would a be a fun horizontal tasting thru a great vintage like 09!

I hope Littorai doesn’t get Summa’ed again. It’s peculiar to see all these Napa wine companies now moving into the real spots for great Pinot, RRV and Anderson Valley. Is Napa not happy with Carneros?
I’m not sure what makes Breggo a Napa wine company.
Napa producer Cliff Lede has owned Breggo since late in 2009.
