Bourgogne Aujourd'hui

can’t speak highly enough of this Burg rag that helps one practice/learn French while reading the latest Burgundy news and stories. Great restaurant reviews and recipes, wine reviews, vigneron interviews.

C’est absolument vrai.

I subscribed for a while. Full of interest though I gradually learned that the blind tastings of immature wines by distinguished panels were not nearly as useful as one might have thought.

I must admit, I tend to agree with Tom re many of the tastings - they regularly taste wines that are either pre or mid-malo to make vinatge pronouncements and provide hard scores of individual wines, e.g. 13.5/20. I don’t care if they are courtiers or winemakers, you can’t score the damn things. For new names, contacts, some info, that’s a different kettle of fish, and I find it very useful…

Alan - Do you subscribe to the web-only version or the print edition as well? (I’m curious about the price for print to be mailed to the U.S…)

I’m tempted to subscribe to the web-only version for a year to give it a whirl.
