For purposes of drinking, I am not a fan of the new bottle sizes. For purposes of trading, I am sure that will pump up the value even more.

I think that most places will go this way. The way that I see it is that if I get a variant, now I am getting a few ounces less. As for the regular, I am likely going to be limited to 1 or 2 bottles if I find it. Also, personally, I find it tough to drink 12 oz in one sitting because it is just so heavy. Now, if I open a bottle, I have 25% more to drink. I would almost prefer six packs of 8oz bottles for the regular.

yeah. That’s what I liked about the 4 packs, I could get 4 coffee in a manageable size. Now you’ll be limited to one 16.9 each time… which will suck!

Are they only doing the big bottles now? At 11+% ABV, I wouldn’t be a fan of that move.

The only ones available in 12oz bottles prior to this year were the regular, the coffee and the barleywine. The Prop & Rare were always 25oz.

Yeah, I realize that, but for me, the more limited beers would be getting opened with a group anyway. I’d like to be able to enjoy the more common ones with a group of 2, but with the big bottle, that’s way too much for me. It is more a matter of headache than intoxication. Really high ABV beers give me terrible headaches if I drink too much.

pretty disappointed in the regal rye and proprietor’s this year. how’d they go from prop13/14, bramble, cherry rye to that?

will get some regular and as much coffee and rare as i can.
