Anybody have experience traveling with either of these wine bottle protection products?
Wine Mummy http://www.winemummy.com/" onclick=“window.open(this.href);return false;
and Bottle Armor http://www.magellans.com/store/Packing_Organizers___Wine_CarriersFP135?Args=” onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Seems like about double the price for the latter, and I intend to buy a bunch. Any thoughts?
Cheers,
Andrew
I found a few more, and it seems to me the price differences may be based on whether you can reuse the packaging.

Have used wine skin on many occasions. They work well but are expensive and not reusable per se.
Thanks, I knew someone must have something to say! I went with Bottle Armor, they look good and are reusable. I’ll report back after our journey.
Cheers,
Andrew
Andrew,
We used the milk carton shippers sealed with tape when we came back from Chile in March. We had no problems and plan to use that technique for Italy this Fall.

I just got old school and use bubble wrap and those huge ziplock bags - never had an issue and MUCH cheaper
The Bottle Armor bags, while a little pricey, worked very well, once you figured out how best to close the two zip lock closures (and then you fold over the velcro tabs for quite a secure package). Large enough to fit a wine bottle and some honey or oil bottles into each.
Cheers,
Andrew
I’m with Zach on the bubble wrap, but be aware Todd and Shawnda have a new product, the Wine Check. Holds a styro shipper.
