You can infer a decent amount of this data from BBX (at least an approximation thereof)
Anyone else get the email from Zachy’s this morning ![]()
Buy barrels of 2024 BDX, prices range from $8K opening bid for Branaire to $50K for Angelus.
Seems they have taken note of @HenryB and his motley crew on Discord ![]()
There’s no point buying Bordeaux en primeur but if you are going to do it, do it in a group so you can all laugh about it after!
This was a rough EP campaign for them. The tariff headache and the dollar dropping against the GBP definitely contribute to me sitting this out. There were a few wines that I maybe could have talked myself into buying. Market conditions don’t favor that however.
So a few of the wineEP gang have done a UGC(BBR) tasting of 2024.
Opinions seem to be, basically:
WK called the vintage right, but they disagree over Lafite score. Called Pontet Canet right. Its not a disasater of a vintage, some good wines, some bad ones, but not worth the price considering some of the other similarly priced vintages around.
I had to already pay my EP bill in full for fear of where the exchange rate could be later this year.
Didn’t want to get caught out there.
