Bordeaux bye-bye?

I am a Burg Guy more than anything else, so I have no real side in this fight.

BUT, I have had some (not a tremendous amount, but some) Lopez over the years and I can think of many, many Bordeauxs I have had over the years that I like better, including Bordeaux on the younger side. In fact, the one time I had a LdH wine young (in a restaurant in Barcelona) I found it a bit harsh and hard to drink - really needed more time.

If you think that all young Bordeauxs are dominated by wood (esp. in the price range), you probably need to read some threads by Alfert and Marshall.

Also, see A couple of days in Bordeaux (am I turning into Alfert and Julian?) - WINE TALK - WineBerserkers
