Quick summary: we follow an estate-type model for Pinot from the Cortell-Rose Vineyard, Eola-Amity Hills, Willamette Valley, Oregon, using all 6 clones/blocks from the vineyard and exploring three distinct expressions of terroir:
Ariane Pinot Noir is 100% whole cluster fermented (91pts – 93pts, 2021 - 2022) $38-40%=$22.80
Colette Pinot Noir is 100% destemmed (92pts – 93pts) $38-40%=$22.80
Marie-Paule Pinot Noir is a cuvée of both whole cluster and destem (92pts – 93pts) $38-40%=$22.80
Marie-Paule Reserve Pinot Noir (Barrel select cuvée, 93pts/Editors’ Choice - 96pts/Editors’ Choice) $55-40%=$33

I love having access to all six blocks/clones from the vineyard. The wines show more depth and complexity as we add more clonal diversity: some clones (at this site) bring more tannin (Dijon 114 and 115), or bright red fruit (667 and 777), or midpalate texture and darker red fruit (Pommard), or acidity (Wadensvil), etc. The Marie-Paule Reserve is a selection of our 5 favorite barrels. We also craft a lovely still blanc-de-noir Pinot (Nicolette, $28-40%=$16.80*)* that pops with citrus and white flower notes, with a struck-flint minerality.

Our J Marie Chardonnay (91pts, $38-40%=$22.80) is also from a single vineyard, Royer in the Eola-Amity Hills. This is a bright chardonnay, with neutral oak élevage, showing elegance, grace and great aromatics followed by bright flavors with body and struck-flint minerality.

Both vineyards are dry-farmed with no herbicides, synthetic fertilizers, insecticides/fungicides.

I also produce two award-winning Pinot Noir-based, small-batch Vermouths (94pts/Editors’ Choice & 91pts), and five authentic-style, bottle carbonated sparkling Ciders.

Respond here for Willamette Valley orders (deliveries and/or pickup options), and non-VinoShipper State orders: AK, CA, CT, HI, NJ, MI, MT. (ARK, DE, MS and RI remain prohibited shipping States.)

Hi there David
Is the whole store %40 off? Can we mix and match ciders to fill out case?

Yes you sure can. The ciders are dry, traditional style and on the lees in bottle (from the yeast used for effervescence, i.e., champagne method, not force carbonated : )

How do your ciders compare to traditional hard ciders (sparkling aside) when it comes to flavor profile. I have a sister and her daughter who have been on a cider kick lately and I’m thinking some of these as gifts.
Which would you recommend?

Thanks for response.
Chris

I am inspired by Basque style ciders that get better with bottle age… these are vinous, clean (not funky Normandy style), with fruit, floral and tannin notes. Right now the Idyl Acres Perfection shows the most complexity and depth. The Gravenstein Gold, Perfect Four and Frequin’ Delicious are more subtle and lighter effervescence (see the various tasting notes when you click on each cider or wine on the online store/website). The Liberty Red cider is the brightest (more acidity) and lots more bubbles!

Put an order in for case of vino/ciders. Excited to try these. Thanks for great sale David
