I really enjoy getting this quarterly publication. http://www.burgundy-report.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; This summer edition includes a very nice discussion about Beaune, it’s vineyards and wines. I particularly enjoyed the profile and history on Nicolas Potel’s Domaine de Bellène and his négoce wines of Maison Roche de Bellène, along with many other interesting pieces. Check it out if you are not aware.
Bill is a smart man.
This is obviously a labor of love for him too.
Kudos Bill.
I was browsing through the summer 2010 issue last night. I’ve long admired the quality of Bill’s ‘production,’ as it were, especially for a one-man job. In the new issue, his vineyard-by-vineyard discussion of the Beaune 1ers (of which there are, I think, 38) is especially interesting. It’s interesting to follow along as Bill assembles a substantial knowledge base of the region piece-by-piece.
