In addition to El Nido Clio, if you want to go on the cheap, the Juan Gil is not too bad in some years, but other years it has been known to give me splinters.
Have to agree with Hack on this one. Gil straddles the line for me. At sub $15 it is worth trying. Atalaya La Atalaya is another sub $20 bottle. Only issue I have is it stains my teeth more than any other wine. Looks like I gargled ink.

Garnacha Tintorera & Monastrell = Alicante Bouschet & Mourvedre. The Ali Bou is a teinturier (dyer grape), with red juice.
