You might want to update your post to give folks some idea of how the bottles will be priced.
Some idea on pricing would be nice- lots of good stuff here
Joe, et al,
I will try to price everything (what I would be willing to accept to part with each baby) by week’s end and re-distribute.
Joe, thanks for the compliment on my collection. I was kind of assuming people would just pick a case or so and use searcher pro, knock off X% depending on the wine and quantity, and throw in a Bid. My apologies, since I now realize that can just turn into a disaster (just encourages insults, to me or to the bidder since I’m not running a charity here).
Really like the fact people can post on CC threads - nice work Todd if that was your idea.
Please PM me with email addresses so I don’t send the updated (with pricing) list to people who either aren’t interested any more and to avoid sending people the list more than once (which I think I have already done, no need to speak up and call me out unless you’re just having a really bad day). Otherwise if you requested the list before, you will get the list with indicative prices - BEWARE…
Expect I can get this done and distribute by end of night on Thursday.
Cheers!

THE LIST
Went out about an hour ago. PM me with your EMAIL ADDRESS if you want to take a look. Prices are based on several auction house estimates and averaged, so some may seem really high prices, but take into account the fact that prices are based on the fact of the 10 - 15% premium and actual sales are all negotiable. If you are looking for 6 or more bottles a good starting point will be to knock (on $100+ wines) 10 bucks off a bottle and then we can negotiate from there. There are a few wines (e.g. Delectus signed Cuvee Julia Mags that are prices high because they aren’t leaving the cellar unless the price is what it is. Other than that, PM me with you EMAIL ADDRESS and I will forward the list with the indicative pricing (3 consignment estimates averaged so you know the starting point and don’t think I am just off my rocker).
Cheers!

forgot me.
So you farmed out your list to three consignment retailer, they did the work on good faith and now you are using their data to sell the wine?

Like I said, what doesn’t sell will go out to Consignment…I think that’s fair considering they priced some WA 98 pt Syrah at $30 and the like as the high estimate (then again some of the other estimates were obviously a bit over the top, but guess they are based on their sales database).
