anybody care to conjecture on what the point was of putting a sticky on Wilfred’s post only to delete it a short while later? I don’t get it really unless Parker was going to do a point by point response to try and end this only to decide it was too messy.
Saved this before it got deleted…someone please tell me how this fits into the description befitting a deletion…

sometimes I don’t want to know the answer
Who has deleting power besides Mark?
“When you wake up in the morning , Pooh,’ said Piglet at last,
‘what’s the first thing you say to yourself?’
'What’s for breakfast? said Pooh.
‘What do you say, Piglet?’
‘I say, I wonder what’s going to happen exciting today?’ said Piglet.
Pooh nodded thoughtfully.
‘It’s the same thing,’ he said”

If its not here it never happened. You must have posted in your dream. No way that any post on an important issue would be deleted.

Max if you and Dan would like I would be happy to post a goodbye for you two. I am not banned and don’t care if I am so it would be my pleasure. I would put ot in the 2008 Bordeaux thread where your thoughts belong.
As for Mark Squires, I gave him pre-approval to take government (not industry) sponsored tips to Israel, Greece, and Portugal, all wine regions I call “emerging” and that are not covered in depth in my publications. He has been allowed three trips to visit these viticultural regions. However, I have decided that this has to be discontinued as well even if it means sacrificing coverage in these areas.
I think that’s a terrible mistake.
If there isn’t room in the budget to send Squires & Miller to these new markets, then I don’t have any problem with them accepting industry money so that they can make the trip.
It’s got to be a huge blow to the winemakers in those countries, as well.

For all here who have debated, loved or even hated, Dan and Max bid you a fond goodbye.
They love wine and those who truly enjoy and appreciate it will always be friends to them. If interested you can always find them through their websites.
Cheers and the best from 2 good Wine Guys.
