BestBuy Rosso di Montalcino

2006 Querce Bettina “Rosso di Montalcino”

I admirer this pure&honest style of Rosso from the estate Querce Bettina, not a Brunello-wanna-be or a modern oak-bomb. Here we have a clear pure Sangiovese fruit of raspberry&strawberry&red currant with a mouthwatering freshness, some floral elements and a silky texture. In addition the Sangiovese typical acidity which makes this Rosso a perfect Food-wine. And I promise you that the bottle is empty in 10min., so it is helpful to have a second bottle around. Perfect Rosso and a steal for 12-13 Euro! My friend the Italy-Expert Fedor Brunner loved it too. Same dealer like Stella di Campalto.

thanks for this Rosso suggestion.
the winery is not mapped on the 2003 Cosorzio map and the website just says it’s southwest of Montalcino.
Any more specific information on their location?

Here is the location via Google-map on the right side:

Martin - that map image points to a building within the commune of Montalcino.
Google maps “does not understand” the Montalcino address listed on their website - La Casina di Mocali, 275
But this description tells me about where their vineyards are: Le coltivazioni e l’azienda sono poste a circa 440 metri sul livello del mare nel versante sud-ovest della collina di Montalcino e confinano con le aziende agricole di Poggio Salvi, Bolsignano, Mocali e Zucca.
