Best Wine Documentaries

I watched this last night, which was about an Italian wine importer - Russ Lorber

Unfortunately, I found it painful to watch since good chunks were not translated nor subtitled.

It’s basically a low budget promotional video for an importer with some dozen names in his book.

I’d give the video a C+ on my scorecard, but perhaps the wines are better.

The importing/sales business appears very hard.

Funny. I just watched it. Agree it was painful at times
-Watching him interacting with the producers
-Observing the enthusiasm of some of the producers who apparently were under the illusion that this “film” was going to be their big break

Burgundy episode is at around 20 mins or so, then comes the Champagne episode.

Not sure how one views it these days. I bought the DVD. From Ground to Glass is great. I watched it probably 30-40 times.

Wine and War was a a great piece of history of winemaking in Lebanon and some incredible footage of Serge Hochar just prior to his tragic accident.
