Why no mention of any whites?
Marcassin and Peter Michael Chards along with Mortlet come to mind for me.

I dont think i have enough experience to say for sure, i know i enjoy bigger wines generally but i think modern and fruit foward sometimes get confused. Ive drunk more older wine lately in the 20-35 years aging range and i do enjoy older wine but only if the fruit is still there to give it some acid and energy.i do find the classic older style cabs that people would describe as dusty are not my thing. So if fruit forward blends are modern then yes i agree but im not so sure its that simple
Kapcsandy Estate Cuvee
Becklyn Missouri Hopper
O’shaughnessy Howell Mountain
Philip Togni
Realm The Bard
Rivers-Marie Lore
I think this might be the answer that best fits the OP’s question. No doubt the others mentioned are very good, but as far as getting an amazing wine “value” Monte Bello futures are going to be tough to beat.
For me and my tastes the clear winner in this price slot is Quilceda Creek Estate CS. I have also had great experiences with Seavey, Togni,
Spottwoode, Phelps Insignia and Cayuse Armada.
The only wines in that price range I continue to buy are: Marcassin, SQN (a little over), Aubert, Saxum, Pride Reserve, and Rivers Marie single vineyard cabs.
I am surprised noone has mentioned William and Mary Cabernet . At $110 per bottle including shipping is a great wine. Big dark fruit yet not overipe. Drinks well.young too
Already polished off a few bottles
5 750’s of Justin Cabernet
It’s likely you’ll get tired of all the sweet stuff that tends to fall apart. By the time the Tognis are ready, you’ll probably prefer them. So – buy them now even if you don’t like them as much because that’s where you’ll likely end up anyway – and, that way, you ensure good provenance.
Best Value $100-$150 US wines
So you want a bargain, but you don’t want to pay less than $100?

I just dont think you get iconic varietal style any cheaper, good even fantastic wines but not leading wines. Im not looking for bargins, looking for value.
Ridge Monte Bello futures. 2017 pricing was $124.
For some reason I recall that you may already buy this, but I also tend to think it’s not your style.
Ridge MB was my first thought, too.
Ridge MB and Cab Estate
Corison Kronos/Napa
Forman
Dunn Howell Mountain
Real The Bard
Hall Jack’s Masterpiece
Some great suggestions so far. But just to challenge the idea that it has to be over $100, lay down some Ridge Geyserville or Lytton Springs for 8-10 years. Save a great deal of money and have some mighty fine juice!
Well, just because they fit right in this price range I’ll put in my favorites:
Pride Reserve Cab and Claret
I really liked Herb Lamb when i visited… i think they’re close to this range.
MacDonald of course…
Ridge MB but i think unless you buy it on pre-release… they are over this price?
No mention yet of one of my favorites, Beringer PR. As always, interesting to note the stylistic preference diffeences in all those listed so far.
Aged Spring Mountain Vineyards Cab from the winery for around $100-$150 depending on vintage. Those wines are under appreciated, special, and ready to drink upon purchase.
Aged-
2001 Spring Mountain from library at $120 ($90 for club members) is fantastic QPR.
New-
2013 The Mascot (from Harlan) releasing in a couple weeks. Their 2012 was insanely good at $125 if I remember correctly.
