Another vote for Gruaud Larose and Penfolds Grange.
Bosconia
Palmer 81 lately was very, very good, Margaux last year even better. Ducru, Pichon Lalande, LLC and Duhart Milon offered lots of pleasure as well
I agree with Rainer’s choices. Margaux is my favorite of the vintage. And Certan de May made an atypically muscular wine in '81 that was holding up fine the last time I drank a bottle, maybe two years ago.
Second this.
Krug collection is brilliant. Plenty of Burgs still drinking well. A Dujac Clos de la Roche recently was excellent as was a Misserey Chambolle ‘Amoureusses’. Heaps of Bordeaux drinking well, Cheval and Palmer are very good. 81 Grange is excellent.
I’ve had great bottles of Beaucastel and Trotanoy in last few months.
I’ll join in saying the LdH Gran Reservas reds, but add the Tondonia GR white is also a very good wine (if you like the style)
Vega Sicilia, Beaucastel, Rioja Gran Reserva
81 Jordan Cab remains an outstanding wine.
Domaine de Chevalier rouge. Though the Beaucastel or Tondonia/Bosconia is also great.
Margaux is sublime. Tried on 4 occasions with consistent highs.

Second this. Fairly inexpensive too
Beaucastel will be an excellent choice.
