Besides Riesling........

08 Pfeffingen, Scheurebe Spätlese, Pfalz, Germany

I would like to recommend you a wonderful aromatic off-dry Scheurebe from the estate Pfeffingen in the region Pfalz. This estate is widely available in USA and also not too expensive, here in Europe for 10 Euro. Rudi Wiest for example offers several wines from the estate Pfeffingen.

Lovely fragrant and with an aromatic flavor profile of juicy exotic fruits, spice and combined with a refreshing acidity, play and clarity. But the most important thing, this wine offers an amazing drinking pleasure…trust me, you will never get enough! Perfect as an apèritif or with spicy food.

Viel danke Herr Barz…I’ll look for some in my area.

So far I do not see any available online, so if someone finds it, please post here.

It sounds delicious, to be sure…

Chambers Street has it on pre-arrival for $25.

This might be a little closer to you:

Todd,

I found the 07 version. Certainly better than 08?!

And an upgraded version “Ungsteiner Herrenberg”

Funny, I live in Berlin/Germany and find the wine. neener

Take care,

Funny…the first shop that appears (Canal’s) is our fellow member Mark Ricca’s shop.

How about a Berserker Exclusive pricing, then, Ricca??

Be nice!

I was looking for the '08!!

P.S. Also lovely on Day 2

Surprisingly, the Scheurebe had no problem to match with a hot&spicy mole yesterday night.

if I who speak the language—or the most of us who don’t—handled German nearly as well as Barz manages English, the standard of international communication would be a lot better than it currently is.

some respect, please.

although I think Zweigelt is a better match.

It’s called a joke James. No disrespect meant.

fair enough, thanks for clarifying.

Bitte schön! [basic-smile.gif]
