BerserkerDay 16 Master Thread (January 31, 2025) RECORDS SET! WE DID IT AGAIN! 😲

Congrats on another successful BD.

Todd! That was supposed to be a secret! :zipper_mouth_face::joy:

There are several producers who ship to AL (we’re in Mobile). If you ask most are willing. The ABC store shopping route isn’t really that bad for either producer or customer.

Thanks for the tip and I found one billing email in my spam box. The only problem is that it was bogus.

FYI to everyone that gets this reminder: Many of the emails that end up in the spam folder belong there.

I scored my Scherrer haul that I’d been planning on

BD16 – my first BD – huge fun–have learned a lot just by looking – going to have to stockpile $ for next year, so much more I’d love to have been able to get – but got my Scherrer, wish I could have afforded more.

Don’t go crazy. Pick your battles.

Glad you had fun, it’s supposed to fun, crazy, and educational.

I learn lots every year and I’ve been hanging around forever.

I have to be conservative – Social Insecurity doesn’t go far and my savings are for emergencies

Thank you, that’s good to know. I found some vendors that had some nice discounts that ship to AL so I was able to work it out.

Thank you to the whole Berserker community for supporting our wines on BD16! And a particular shout out to @ToddFrench @brigcampbell @Siun_O_Connell for helping make this all happen!

I posted this, I think, against my own thread, but not sure Todd et al will see it. Thanks Todd and Crew for another great, seamless BD16. Saw lots of return customers, including ones I had not heard from for some time, and some new ones. Of note is the number of females ordering - big increase from the typical.

Todd -is there a survey out yet? My email has been jammed for several days…maybe I missed it.

Thank you all again.

Survey is forthcoming. I’m about done but need to get it to Todd to test.

We’re officially confirmed sales over $2million (again!) but waiting on about 15 more sellers to contribute numbers to see if we exceeded last year’s record, which would be INSANE given the state of the wine market! Even exceeding BD14 and everything before that is incredible!

Will update everyone no later than Saturday at 5pm Pacific, which is when the survey/data deadline is…

My first BD and I am waiting for 6 cases (plus beef) ! Totally enjoyed and somehow stayed under control. I have a bunch of wine tasting with family and friends scheduled. Thank you Todd and the great day.

I have a friendly bet with Todd that berserkerday 16 would be the biggest ever.

Partly, bravado, but I was fairly comfortable in my declaration. If you’re close to the producers we know and all love then you’re aware of the rough waters for multiple reasons. It’s a shitty business right now.

But the buyers on wine berserkers are still the same. They’re not drinking cocktails out of a can now. They’re buying great wine. Plus, the economy and markets have been incredibly strong, up over 20%+ each of the last two years, so I figured Wineberserkers would come out in mass to support the cause.

My prediction may not be correct, it’s gonna be close, but it shows the Wineberserkers are still amazing.

We’ve already started discussions about BD17, I think we can do better for everyone.

It definitely felt like we beat last year and not in a chaotic way but just humming along - best BD yet!

By the power of Berserkers…we did it!!

By some miracle of Berserkerdom, in a BRUTAL wine market, we surpassed last year’s sales!!!

I’m just blown away, truly.

Last year (BD15): $2,178.593
This year (BD16): $2,194,493
(revised final numbers 2/8/25)

:open_mouth:

Not only is the wine market brutal (any number of threads about this), the economy (particularly in non-essential and premium products) is iffy, at best, but the Berserkers came through once again!

Interestingly, our ‘pageviews’ numbers were down from last year:

Pageviews

2024: (BerserkerDay 15)
Preview Day: 358,635
BerserkerDay: 525,150

2025: (BerserkerDay 16)
Preview Day: 306,302
BerserkerDay: 412.559

So that means, with fewer eyes on the offers, in a brutal market, Berserkers spent MORE!!!

BRAVO AND THANK YOU, EVERYONE!

Any small victory is incredible, and to be able to have this incredible community come together to help small producers in such a market is simply fantastic. Wow.

@brigcampbell commence your ‘told you so’ dance…
